My journey.
After graduating in physical therapy in 2005, I began working in nursing homes and hospitals.
I continued my initial training with a course in Manual Therapy. I then decided to open my own private practice in 2010.
I then began my osteopathic training at the IAO in collaboration with Ghent University.
My experience
As a freelancer since 2010, I have acquired over the years an in-depth knowledge of the problems my patients may encounter.
My various training courses have helped me to integrate the different aspects of the problems my patients may encounter.
What is osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a health-care practice based on manual manipulation aimed at diagnosing, treating and preventing functional disorders of the human body. It is based on the idea that an individual's general well-being depends on the proper functioning of the musculoskeletal system, as well as the nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems.
Osteopaths use a variety of manipulative techniques, such as joint adjustments, muscle stretching, pressure techniques and soft-tissue mobilization. These interventions are designed to relieve pain, improve mobility and promote health.
Today
I also practice Deep Muscle Therapy on athletes and bodybuilders.
In collaboration with V. Stoyanov, I organize training courses for sports coaches, sports masseurs and physiotherapists in deep muscle massage (DMT). I also practice shockwave therapy.
